Courtesy Posting Contact Info

Casa Del Toro Bully Breed Education & Rescue is not responsible  for the dogs listed under "Courtesy Postings" on its pages.

CDT has not had direct contact with any of the available "courtesy posted " dogs.

CDT "assumes" that the dogs listed on the "courtesy" page  have been carefully evaluated prior to being listed for adoption with the agencies/persons/caretakers of the dogs. We strongly recommend that anyone interested in adopting a dog listed under a "courtesy posting" obtain  their own temperament evaluation. Help from a professional is recommended if the potential owner is not familiar with temperament testing. The evaluation  should be conducted by someone who understands the breed and its characteristics.

In general, Pit Bulls and AmStaffs make excellent pets, but like other breeds, it's possible that some of them carry undesirable traits such as human aggression, shyness, instability, etc, due to poor breeding or previous irresponsible/abusive ownership. These animals should NOT be made available for adoption unless they have successfully completed a strict rehabilitation program with a professional. (adopted from www.pbrc.net)

It is important to not mistake dog on dog aggression with aggressiveness TOWARDS humans. These two behaviors are distinctly and specifically different.

Dog aggression is a normal trait for this breed...human aggression is not.

For more information about Pit Bull type dogs, please read PBRC's Breed-Info

"Courtesy Posts" are dogs that are not the responsibility of Casa Del Toro Bully Breed Education & Rescue. Some of these dogs have been found as strays and are under temporary care by a household that is in no way associated with CDT.

Adoption fees & guidelines for courtesy posted dogs  are left up to the individual's/organizations re-homing the dog and do not necessarily follow Casa Del Toro's guidelines for temperament  . Please refer to their contact info located on each dogs page for adoption information for them.
