We need "YOU" for more information please visit our Kennel Enrichment Page

To us, being able to provide Enrichment to the Shelter dogs is as important as the medical & nutritional needs that they must have on a daily basis.

Casa Del Toro recognizes the strain of overpopulation that is upon Animal Control/Shelters every day, keeping up with housing up to and over 500 animals a day in some facilities can be very stressful on staff and the animals, some days you just shake your head in disbelief of the sheer numbers of animals that pass through the doors each day.

When the kennels are cleaned and the dogs are fed, It just doesn't seem like enough, Its hard to walk by the dog that has been there pending a court case for weeks on end just spinning in his kennel, or the dog that has retreated so far into himself that the once jovial face that use to meet you at the kennel has now given up hope that this is what his life has become.

These dogs get passed by not because they are bad dogs, simply put, there is just not enough time for Staff in one day to do more than just the basics needs for the these dogs.

These are the dogs that we are dedicated to help improve the quality of life for, through dedicated  volunteer efforts we will keep these animals engaged we will name the and call them by name, we will comfort them, walk them,& train them,  for those who may not be able to come out of their cages, we will talk to them, read to them , whatever it takes to give them the quality of life they deserve while they wait for their futures to be determined.

While we fully realize that all of these dogs may not be adoptable, We are asking for  the Quality  of Life " to be taken into higher account for these animals.

Thank you,

Casa Del Toro Bully Breed Education & Rescue
