Hi I'm Cali! I love back scratches and belly rubs. My owners gave me up to the shelter because I'm a little slower now that I'm 6 and, sometimes, I had a hard time getting around. Well the shelter vet took one look at me and put me on a diet. Once the weight came off I could get around easier. I have some wear and tear on my body for being overweight for so long, but I'm still spunky and love to go on walks.
I am now at a healthy 72 pounds. I take anti-inflammatory pain relievers daily to help my thickened knee caps. I'm good with hard wood floors and want to live in a one-level home. Stairs are over-rated!
I'm not really interested in other dogs. I'll tolerate other dogs, but I choose to ignore them. I think I could live with a calm housemate, but I think I want to be the only dog from now on.
